After beating the competition, Qtel has agreed to provide communication infrastructure to the New Doha International Airport (NDIA).
HE Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, Chairman of Qtel, said Qatar is forging ahead, building the world’s finest transport facilities and Qtel is proud to be part of it.
When NDIA opens in December 2012, it will be one of the world’s biggest aviation hubs, capable of supporting more than 50 million passengers a year and will be state-of-the-art. Qtel, who have 83 million customers worldwide, will be providing a range of services, including fixed line and wireless services, an Airport Wide Telephone System (AWTS), deploying IP telephony which will deliver world-class voice services and will be customised to interface with NDIA’s specific Airport Wide Applications.
NDIA Steering Committee Chairman HE Abdul Aziz Mohammed al Noami said, ‘The NDIA has been designed to be a state-of-the-art facility, setting new standards in airport and airline efficiency.’
