Every year on 5 June, the world celebrates World Environment Day when United Nations seeks to stimulate worldwide awareness of environmental issues. Imbibing right values in the children towards protection of Mother Nature is the need of the hour. The Pearl School fraternity is committed to the cause and the students showcased the flora and fauna with a special plea for the endangered species. They also made posters on ‘Conservation of Natural Resources’ and were taught the judicial use of water and electricity.
Following the Indian Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum, Pearl School is a new Indian school in Qatar, which started operations on 28 April 2013. The Pearl Qatar is an initiative of the Round Square Foundation, an educational institution established in Qatar, which aims to provide quality education by equipping students with knowledge, competence and capability to become responsible citizens. The foundation also has plans to set up Cardiff International Kindergarten as well as Cardiff International School, both following British Curriculum. Both the schools will be operational from September 2013.
Pearl Qatar joins five other Indian schools in Qatar, responding to the demand of Qatar’s big Indian population which consists of at least 500,000 in the country.
